今天，Oracle 公司宣布发布 VirtualBox 5.0.16 ，主要进行了性能提升和bug修复。主要更新内容是：
VMM: fixed a problem which could lead to a wrong guest behavior on AMD CPUs (tickets&&and&)
GUI: don't try to synchronize the HID LEDs if the VM window is not active or if it's minimized (Windows / Mac OS X bug&)

新版本的增强工具还是没有修复#12941，3D显示有问题，然后导致Zeal不能用。。。除非安装testcase中的新版本

——不是很明白你说的， Vmware的功能明显高于VirtualBox 至于性能只是在一些方面不如virtalBoxVirtualBox即使暂停和即使恢复这个功能VM就没有,而且VM有个&挂起&的功能速度比VirtualBox的&快速休眠&慢太多.不要迷信VM.

甲骨文 Oracle 的网站(VirtualBox.org)虽然提供virtualbox的deb及rpm套件，因为VirtualBox更新很积极（差不多 1 ～ 2 个月就更新一次），更新后必须要重新装核心模块（kernel module），如果有心学习虚拟机的话，我们强烈建议不要用这个套件的方式。
以下是我们认为在Ubuntu里装设VirtualBox的较优步骤：
1.&&打开一个terminal。
2.&&下载及注册 Oracle VirtualBox 的 public key for apt-secure：wget -q http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian/oracle_vbox.asc -O- | sudo apt-key add -复制代码3.&&把 Oracle VirtualBox 的套件库加入Ubuntu：echo deb http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian trusty contrib & vbox. sudo mv vbox.list /etc/apt/sources.list.d/复制代码4.&&把 apt-get 的套件库资料更新以后，就可以装设最新版的 VirtualBox 了： sudo apt- sudo apt-get install virtualbox-5.0复制代码以上的步骤，只是提供VirtualBox最基本的功能，对桌面使用者，必须再补充一些增强的步骤：
5.&&到 virtualbox.org 网站下载 VirtualBox Extension Pack:
双击下载的档案，Virtualbox就会自动被启动来装设这个套件。
6.&&把自己（使用者）加入 vboxusers群里： sudo usermod -a -G vboxusers $USER复制代码6a.&&确认自己的使用者的login id 在 vboxusers 群里：getent group vboxusers复制代码
如果虚拟机是Ubuntu（或其他Linux）系统的话，建议也在虚拟机里执行下列指令：
（在虚拟机里） sudo usermod -a&&-G vboxsf $USER
不管是Linux或Windows虚拟机，装完系统后一定要加装Guest Additions。不装的话，就不要抱怨不好用。

一般我们的观念是把不重要的系统放到虚拟器里执行，其实这个观念已经是过时了。随着硬体及虚拟器品质的大幅度成长，现在的做法（尤其是企业界）乃是把重要的，日常在使用的系统，放在虚拟器里执行。这道理很简单，只要性能(performance）可以接受，管理一个虚拟机，不管是伺服器或是桌面，比起真正系统(on bare-metal）要容易，也安心多了。即使性能有不足的地方，把硬体加强一下（一般只要多加动态记忆体）就可以了。
要在VirtualBox里执行Ubuntu虚拟机时，必须记得装设“增强功能”(guest additions),否则系统会很卡。步骤很简单，打开虚拟机以后，到左上边：
按 ”设备“
再按 “安装增强功能”
VirtualBox就会自动安装增强功能，非常容易。
我在其他地方提过，因为iso 映像无法装增强功能，我不建议用VirtualBox测试。这个问题的解决办法之一是，等优客族上轨道以后，我们可以提供一个VirtualBox的映像iso，一般人不必花太多时间，就可以充分的享受最新版的UbuntuKylin了。

这是UbuntuKylin 13.10，Windows XP，及 Windows 8 三部虚拟机同在一个真实机器（UbuntuKylin 13.10）上执行的一个截图，把这个截图显示给稍微懂电脑的人，没有人不会不竖然起敬的(utterly impressed):D：
Windows XP 真的非常好用，不过它的“致命伤害”就是，它在设计上几乎没有安全上的考量（因此才会很好用）。把Windows XP 虚拟机放到UbuntuKylin里使用，因为需要时才会打开，安全度应该可以增进不少。这样做同时也可以暂时解决国内很多 Windows-only 网站对Ubuntu/UbuntuKylin 接受者所产生的问题。
